Commander and District Engineer

   As Commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, Colonel Aaron Reisinger is responsible for water resources development in the Chicago metropolitan area. The district’s primary mission focuses on flood risk management and storm damage reduction, navigation, environment, regulatory, emergency management and interagency and international services.   

   Prior to assuming command of the Chicago District, Colonel Reisinger was a strategist in the Stability and Humanitarian Affairs office of Special Operations and Low Intensity Conflict, Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Policy.

Deputy Commander

 

As the deputy commander of the Chicago District, Lt. Col. Jason Borg assists the district commander in water resources development in the Chicago metropolitan area, an area of about 5,000 square miles with a population of more than nine million. The district's primary mission focuses on flood risk management and storm damage reduction, navigation, environment, regulatory, navigation, emergency management, and interagency and international services.

Prior to joining the Chicago District Lt. Col. Borg served as the Deputy Commander for the 20th Engineer Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
