Commander and District Engineer

Prior to assuming command of the Chicago District, Col. Christopher T. Drew was assigned as a seminar leader, School of Advanced Military Studies, Fort Leavenworth, Kan. Drew was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He received a Master of Arts with distinction in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in 2005 and a Master in Military Arts and Science from the Command and General Staff College’s School of Advanced Military Studies in 2013.

Deputy Commander


As the deputy commander of the Chicago District, Lt. Col. Jason Borg assists the district commander in water resources development in the Chicago metropolitan area, an area of about 5,000 square miles with a population of more than nine million. The district's primary mission focuses on flood risk management and storm damage reduction, navigation, environment, regulatory, navigation, emergency management, and interagency and international services.

Prior to joining the Chicago District Lt. Col. Borg served as the Deputy Commander for the 20th Engineer Brigade at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
