Corps of Engineers to hold public meeting for 2013 Indiana Harbor dredging start

Indiana Harbor Dredging Contractors Kokosing Construction Co. and O’Brien & Gere and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will present the 2013 Indiana Harbor dredging activities and schedule at a public meeting April 3, 2013. Over a period of eight to 10 years, this project will produce an estimated 1.8 million cubic yards of dredged materials. Officials mark construction completion at confined disposal facility, dredging start at Indiana Harbor Canal

On Oct. 29, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rep. Peter Visclosky and officials from Indiana held a ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the construction completion at the confined disposal facility (CDF) and the start of dredging at Indiana Harbor and Canal.
