convention, unless otherwise noted in the scope of work. From the above link SpecsIntact
and the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications (UFGS) can be downloaded at
no cost. UFGS are technical
specifications commonly used for projects at USACE. |

LRC – Local Guide Specifications (free) Specifications
that are unique or reoccurring at LRC. These specific sections should be used in
lieu of the UFGS. |

MII
Software (free) MII
is a detailed cost estimating software application. All cost estimates developed for the
Chicago District shall be prepared using MII, unless otherwise noted in the
scope of work. If you like a copy of
the software send an email to Web-CELRC-Cost-Engineering In the email include your name, phone
number, organization name and address, and project that you are currently
working on for the Chicago District. |

COST |
The
cost book is developed by RS Means and contains estimates for labor,
materials, and equipment. The cost
book is opened using MII. The cost
book is maintained and sold by a third party.
Contact the vendor for a current price, it
was around $900 per seat. Using the
cost book is not a requirement for developing estimates for the Chicago
District, but it will aid in the development of the estimate. |

EP 1110-1-8,
Construction Equipment Ownership and Operating Expense Schedule This
U.S. Army Corps of Engineers publication is used to determine an hourly cost
for contractor owned equipment in estimating project costs, claims or
modifications. It is published in 12 regional volumes covering the United
States and selected territories. The EP is available in Adobe portable
document format (PDF). For areas not covered by the current regions, special
volumes may be developed upon request. |

Solicitations All
solicitations for the US Army Corps of Engineers are posted FedBizOpps,
to view all projects for the District enter W912p6*
in the search box located in the upper left hand corner. The data (such as
plans and specifications), for each solicitation may be downloaded from FedTeDS. As a convenience to contractors interested
in working on projects in the Chicago District, the solicitations are also
posted in a second location and can be accessed from the above link. This page was created in an effort to
improve download time or as a backup in the event FedTes
web site is down for maintenance. |
