Officials to mark end of water main project

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rep. Robin Kelly (IL-2), Hazel Crest Village President Vernard Alsberry Jr., and village officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony to mark the end of a water main improvement project in Hazel Crest, Illinois:

WHEN:           Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2020

WHERE:         Elm Drive and Maple Lane, Hazel Crest, Illinois, 60429

TIME:             11 a.m.

The work included replacing 1400 feet of a deteriorating six-inch diameter water main with an 8-inch water main along Maple Lane from Elm Drive to Linden Drive. This project is part of the Cook County Region Environmental Infrastructure 219 project and has been allocated $1,000,000 of federal funding. The nonfederal sponsor is the Village of Hazel Crest.
