The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Chicago District will hold its annual Industry Open House on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, in Chicago, Illinois.
The event is open to all businesses, both small and large, interested in working with the Chicago District. The event will include briefings from Chicago District leadership and opportunities to network with district staff and industry partners. This is a great opportunity for all firms to share its unique capabilities, and learn about projects within the Chicago District.
“We at the USACE, Chicago District are excited to meet with current and potential industry partners during our Industry Open House,” said District Commander Col. Paul Culberson. “We will provide information regarding recently-funded construction and flood risk management projects within the district boundaries in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Indiana. We are thrilled to offer this opportunity to meet with our industry partners.”
Two sessions are available to attend. The first session will be from 9 a.m. to noon CST, and the second session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. CST. This is an in-person event, with registration limited to first-come, first-served. Attendance will be limited to no more than three representatives per company, and will also be limited to one session. Please note that your preferred session may not be available, and you may be assigned a different session.
The USACE, Chicago District is responsible for water resources development in the Chicago metropolitan area, upper Illinois River watershed, Lake Michigan watershed in Wisconsin, and the upper Wabash River watershed in Indiana – an area of about 31,500 square miles. The district delivers vital engineering services through flood and coastal storm risk management, navigation, aquatic ecosystem restoration, regulatory, emergency management, recreation, and interagency support services.
