The feasibility study is underway and scheduled for completion in 1QFY24.  USACE and Joliet continue working on completing the Draft Feasibility Report for Public review within the next 2 months.

The study will evaluate opportunities to address potential overbank flooding of a large area of downtown Joliet from the Des Plaines River along a segment of the former Illinois and Michigan Canal currently protected by an existing aged levee structure.
