Water Resources Development Act

Section 214 of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2000, as amended (33 U.S.C. 2352), provides the authority to accept and expend funds from certain entities to expedite the review of permit applications. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Chicago District, currently has an agreement with the Northern Indiana Public Service Company (NIPSCO) and the Illinois State Toll Highway Authority under this funding mechanism.
